    Hood Canal Real Estate

The Hood Canal is a fjord (long, narrow inlet of the sea) forming one of the four main basins of Puget Sound, and located in Mason County, Washington.

Many people assume that it is man-made, because of the moniker “canal”, but the Hood Canal is actually a natural waterway, and one of the minor bodies of water that makes up the Salish Sea.  It features several internal bays, some of which are used for U.S. Navy submarines.

Hood Canal is filled with world-class activities like SCUBA and skydiving, a thriving culinary scene sampling heavily from locally-sourced and wild-caught fare, an active social calendar packed with live music and community events and plenty of places to hide away from it all when you just want the world to yourself.
